Post 6 !!!
A social problem found in the social classes is the public
health system. Chile has a mixed health system, that is, it is made up of a
private and public system. The public system corresponds to the national health
fund (FONASA) and the private system to the ISAPREs. I believe that we are all
aware that there is a great difference between these systems, for example, the
hours in the public system sometimes take years to realize or do not have the
implements, professionals needed by the population, in contrast, the private
system has these requirements but is a lucrative business that is only
interested in money and are reflected in their "health plans", where
the legal 7% rises to very high percentages. It is also important to note that
there is discrimination in these systems, there are charts that reflect that
the wealthier population belongs more to the private system, while the
population with fewer resources does not have the means to opt for this health
system. Discrimination also exists between the rural and urban population, with
people living in rural areas having fewer opportunities to opt for the private
system.
I feel that Chile should focus on improving its health
system in Chile by implementing public policies that can be carried out and
that are not utopian. The population urgently needs this system to be improved.
When we were in the coronavirus peack many deaths occurred because of these
shortcomings and not being prepared, despite seeing the more developed
countries in this context.
I hope they are well and that they can rest next week, I
encourage! there is already less than a semester left :). GOODBYE.
